Master Berry and School
Presentations for both Private & Public Schools
Since 1985 Master Berry has
been working with children in schools and for all grades.
Master Berry started working with schools over 20 years ago
in the Clark County School District which is located in
Southern Nevada. Clark County School District is the
Nations 6th largest with over 230,000 students. Master
Berry has spoken at over 100 schools during his 23 year
career in changing children’s lives in a positive way
through martial art philosophies. Master Berry has been on
the Clark County Public Schools speaking list since 1990 to
address such topics as; Self Confidence, Discipline, Focus
for better grades, Oriental Culture Week, Dare Program and
his newest program Kidz’ N Power. Kidz’ N Power is a
national program geared toward teaching kids what to do when
the bad guy or bully approaches.
In today's world students receive
training at school regarding bus safety, fire safety and
bike safety. Children also get safety information at school
on things from sun to bad weather. Unfortunately, I believe
it has come time to instill in children the need to be
cautious in regards to strangers. This program from ATA has
made an impact on my students. I feel it has made a real
difference in the way they would react to a stranger,
especially on how near they would allow a stranger.

Master Berry has relocated
his family to the Woodlands/Spring area in the fall of
2006. Master Berry has been to over 20 schools in the
Conroe ISD and several schools in the Klein ISD School
District. Master Berry has partnered himself with the South
Montgomery County YMCA Programs to volunteer to teach the
above mentioned topics. Master Berry has been to many
church groups and day care centers again to get the message
across to children that they should believe in themselves
and what to do when danger comes near. Master Berry made a
commitment many years ago to serve the community and protect
the most important thing in our lives, our children.
Master Berry can speak to a
small group of 10 kids and has spoken to more than 1,000
kids at one time on numerous occasions. Master Berry
insists that this is way of giving back to the community and
does not charge for his public speaking. Master Berry will
dramatically increase awareness in many different topics.
Mrs. Shelby McDowell (Director of Physical Education) at
Barbara Bush Elementary stated she could not believe how
structured and disciplined the children were because of the
way Master Berry instructed. Mrs. McDowell has encouraged
many other PE teachers to take Master Berry up on his free
seminars. You may contact Mrs. McDowell at
smcdowell@conroeisd.net for
further questions. If you are interested please send Master
Berry a direct email to
karate@texata.com
to get his seminar scheduled as he does book up this free
workshop early.

The Top 5 Reasons To Provide
Your Employees With Martial Arts Training
at
your Company or School
1. Improve productivity:
It is a fact! Healthy people are more productive than
unhealthy people. The martial arts at ATA Martial Arts of
The Woodlands/Spring is the perfect activity because it
blends an equal balance of physical conditioning as well as
mental conditioning. Not only does Taekwondo utilize all
muscles in the body, but the drills challenge the employee's
mind resulting in heightened focus and concentration—both of
which have a deep impact on a worker’s productivity.
2. Give your employees the
ability of self-defense:
ATA Martial Arts of The Woodlands/Spring teaches two types
of self-defense. First, you will learn how to use your arms
and legs to generate an amazing amount of power. Learning
how to properly utilize your strength, agility, and power is
a key component of our program. Next, your company staff
will also learn a great deal about preventative
self-defense. Through our program you will become more aware
of your surroundings and will also learn how to carry
yourself and appear less like an easy target—information
that your employees need to know!
3. Improve employee morale:
In today’s workplace employee morale is at an all-time low.
Worker’s deal with downsizing, “right-sizing”, benefit cuts,
and an unstable work environment. Employers that are
dedicated to retaining the talent in their companies must
provide employees with reasons to want to stay. Because the
average student takes 3 years to earn a black-belt in
karate, this program can be another reason for your
employees to stay at your company. Not only does the
employee benefit from the training in the martial arts, but
they become happier, more productive, and mo
re loyal!
4. Improve relationships
within your company:
Our classes are taught in a group setting where the only
hierarchy that exists is one of belt rank. It is possible
(and highly likely) that the CEO of your company won’t be
the highest ranking student. By breaking the typical
structure your employees will have the opportunity to take
class and learn together—an amazing method of improving
staff relations at all levels in your company!
5. Get employees to WANT to
come to work:
In addition to all of the great benefits of martial arts
training this is something they will look forward to—they
will want to come to work. Not only will workers call in
sick less frequently, but they will feel better, have
increased self-discipline, and become more productive.
